Sightings: Urban Legends... Alive!

Legends exist everywhere. Through time and space, great tales of old have passed on and remain alive to this day. Gods, suns, worlds, demons and dreamers -- all these still exist. We may not know that the your suking taho vendor might be a Sun in another time. Or a god. Or even a tyrant.

Behold. Out of the mists and shadows of the Kulto's golden age, comes a legacy... of Tyranny.

Tyrannus Maria Francia
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Forever, Whatever.
Amen.

Relishing the days of Advance notebooks, Klim, and Kuya Germs, the Kulto had gathered once more last December 16 for a boisterous feast to end the year that was 2007. To make the event memorable, the group decided to channel that icon of crass, gloss and idiocy in local primetime: GMA Supershow.

Enjoy!

Food, glorious food!

The uplifting lyrics of the famished vultures in Ice Age 2 rings truth throughout the ages. Food, more than nourishment, is the ancillia of the select few: the emotional eaters, the skinny freaks, the fitness fag, the quintessential slacker/channel surfer and little undernourished kids from Biafra.

As luck would have it the Kulto has met once again after a long hiatus. And look how they've changed and grown in 5 months! Look at the wrinkles! The thinning hairline masked by growing hair long and unkempt! The pasty whiteness of skin caused by artificial working... (more)

Treachery - noun. 1. betrayal of trust, 2. crime of disloyalty to one's nation (see also TREASON) 3. the highest artform perfected by the Kulto Boys. 4.)to make someone earn your trust and when he turns his back, you give him multiple stab wounds, in the neck, in the rib area, spine, and in the sides (see also Master Betty's Dictionary of Torture and Treachery). 5.) to go to the gym 3x a week and buy new shorts to show-off to someone you thought would come then betrays you radically. 6.) to deceive the weak, puny and helpless yet agile and above average level of thinking 7.) to distort the...
Or what should have been a hunting party gone entirely wrong. As always circumstances and unholy providence has a way of foiling even the most foolproof of plans. But nevertheless, the Kulto still continued with the plans and turned it into a pigout instead.
Here are snippets from last January 20. Cheers.

In memory of the numerous feasts held in honor of retardation and silliness, the Kulto returns to the grounds of Uste to celebrate yet another paskuhan.
Unfortunately, only the Wee Folk were able to come and witness the changes to a place they once called home - The Shire. Where once the muddy and malaria-infested carp pond stood, now sits a fountain. Even the bronze dude was removed from the grounds and replaced with a 10 meter glass and steel phallic monument.
But the Wee Folk didn't care and carried on to witness the Humans who have taken over their homes perform their bacchanalian orgy... (more)

Before this year ends, we would like to recap the year that was 2006. Most of the Kulto members have gone on their separate paths, pursuing their own dreams of world domination.
The Tyrant has fallen from her throne and is now living thhe carefree life of a bum. Boronron is now in overseas working as a manager for a white slavery ring. And Lesley has now perfected gender-bending that even street children calls him "Ma'am"! Creepy...
Grimace has resigned from McDonalds' roster of mascots and is now working in a bank. Other members though, have not changed. Dookie is still poor. And Nigga... (more)

And were back! Like I never said this line last month! It seems the Kulto members can't get enough of each other. In what seems to become a growing tradition in the months to come, the Kulto has reunited once again to relish memories of their heydays in the backstreets of Sampaloc.
Here's a recap of what happened at last Saturday's reunion of sorts. Enjoy!

Pigout at Tia Maria's: The Paperback Writer resurrected from a long hiatus, Kokak, Assistant Librarian Charisse, Daddy Paul John, a knife-wielding, starved-to-death Ogre, Jenjo the Hobbit and Boronron.

And we are back!
After what seems like ages, the Kulto has reunited once more to relive themselves from the pressure of the working world, to reminisce memories of rottenness and absurd pleasures and to rant how we all want to regress back to student life and not care about loans and overtimes and contracts.
Here are some pictures of last August 5th's meeting of sorts:

Back from Lebanon. From left: Dianne, Zeke, Jenny Man, Audie. On the other side: an ogre with a bad hair day, Ghel, Namron, Kokx and Nigga Fill

And from another view of the table... still the same people with the... (more)
